Oslavany, who on the evidence of this game are sitting near the bottom of the table undeservedly, clearly came to win. Their squad list featured no fewer than five players from Friday's tier-6 match, and it really showed on the pitch.

For roughly the first third of the first half it was a fairly even contest; in the 11th minute Štěpán even hit the post. Gradually, though, the visitors turned up the pressure while our players dropped deeper and deeper, piling up mistake after mistake, and our passing and quick breaks dried up. All of that was then punished with a goal just before half-time.

It was clear we couldn't go on like this — without a proper scrap it simply wasn't going to happen. A small tweak to the line-up, and a completely different team seemed to charge out for the second half! Heads up, full throttle, and this time it was the opponent who started to get nervous — and suddenly it clicked. The big turnaround was kicked off by Vašek Němec with his first goal in a home shirt in many decades 😆, then Karel won the ball for the forceful Štěpán, who headed over the onrushing (and otherwise excellent) Oslavany keeper, and the final flourish came from a cracking strike by David, who worked his socks off all over the pitch today.

Without exaggeration, those 45 minutes were the best the team has produced so far in this young season 👏🏻 The bench didn't get a game this time, but given the strength of the opponent and how the match went, it was necessary. There will surely be enough chances for everyone down the line — we all know how things go around here 🙂🙃
